Hospital Pharmacy Journal Club

mission

The Hospital Pharmacy Journal Club promotes meaningful literature evaluation experiences, increases critical appraisal skills, and encourages professional discussion regarding recent Hospital Pharmacy (HPJ) articles among pharmacy clinicians, academicians, managers, preceptors, residents, and students.

how it works

From each issue of HPJ, an article is selected for Journal Club discussion. Each Journal Club article will include discussion points in the form of a Proposed Question Set. The questions are designed to promote dialogue regarding the topic and its application to relevant healthcare and/or management practices. They will serve as a starting point or template for development of additional discussion points. Answers to the Propsosed Question Set will be posted for each Journal Club selection after 6 months. Prior to this time, answers are available to only preceptors, faculty, and residency directors by addressing such requests to: jgenerali@thomasland.com

Articles selected will cover a diverse set of topics that employ a variety of study designs and methodologies. Links to selected articles and corresponding Proposed Question Sets can be found within the listings below.
